Wanted Waterbath

Post by judith »

Hi everyone
Does anyone have a electric thermastat controlled waterbath in working order they may want to sell or give away?
Preferably close to Dubbo to reduce freight.
Thanks
Judi

Is there a research station at/near Dubbo? Check with them as they may have something sitting around. We got an old one from the station here in Tamworth a while back. The thermostat isn't great but we just put a temperature probe in it before we need it to get it right - it usually takes several hours to get it to hold at the right temperature (too hot, too cold... etc) but it's better than nothing and the teachers can't ask for it at the last minute cos they just can't have it!

Hi Judi, not much help for you either but we use a couple of old fry pans filled with water..... They work well with a thermometer checking the temp every now & then.

Hi Judith,

I just came across a pile of old water bath thermostats, they work well and are about to be disposed off. Would you be interested?

Cheers,

Sassi :giggle:

Sassi, I'd like a few please - perhaps 4, if you have that many to spare?
And if we can figure a way for me to collect them while down for the conference...

Sassi, my HT said these are not what I was thinking they were, so please forget about my previous request.

What I love best about Chemtalk is the fact that I'm learning something new every day!

Thanks,
