Post by Labbie »

Is there any thing written, about NOT using cardboard boxes to store items in, and they sit in the chem store? :clap3: :redcard:

I think if you were to look on the Science Assist website you will find information about shelving material being non-porous. Cardboard, is a flammable material and could really add to your woes if a small fire were to start in the chem store. It goes against my grain to be using boxes for chemical storage.
But this reminds me that I have a small box of wood shavings in the chem store - yikes! It is just inside the door and a long way from any chemicals. Now that I think about it, it might be getting relocated next time I'm on-site. :giggle:

Oh i have so many uses for Photocopy Paper boxes.
I never thought that I would be the person who loves boxes, but yep that is me now.
Group experiments that require craft materials - each group own box
Collecting materials from the farm - each group has own box.
So easy because at the end it just gets thrown away.

Storing of different equipment in store room, boxes are a great size.

The lids of the Photocopy paper boxes get used to store the photocopy work in that is to be taken to other classes. (I have the 2nd school photocopy in my area so do general photocopy for staff)

Yep i think boxes are great in the science area.
