Science Assist Closing

If any of you are disappointed about Science Assist closing down due to a lack of funding, this morning I emailed the federal minister for Science and the minister for education. Science Assist tried a subscription model but it has failed to get enough subscribers. I've had a few people on the NSW ASET email list follow suit. If you have used this service, you will be aware of how valuable it is. Emailing these people may not do anything but I know if we stay quiet, nothing will happen.

Here's their contact information if you also feel like letting them know:

Melissa Price (Science) email: melissa.price.mp@aph.gov.au
Alan Tudge, no email address but a form on his website: https://www.aph.gov.au/Senators_and_Mem ... r?MPID=M2Y

I have sent an email to them both. Thanks for getting the ball rolling, Merilyn

Funding has been received from the Federal Government to enable Science Assist to continue in 2022, however you still need to register and pay, although the fee has been reduced for Australian Schools to $100.00 excluding GST.
I just read about this in the March edition of Teaching Science, the Australian Science Teachers Association magazine.

Thanks

Andrew
