Re: 2007 Chemical Safety in Schools Update Course

From what I believe, CSIS training is done as a whole school project, once you have been signed off. That is it, until a main change happens. Each school should done a CSIS training first day back for new staff (New to the school). Mostly it is the head of Science that does the training, which of co...

Re: MSDS update

If the issue date is new, different to the one you have. Then you need to reprint, yes I know it can mean lots of paper.

Hope that helps

Re: risk assessment

"Getting it to work" It came out in 1995. "Further copies are available through Erudition at a cost of $30 each, please remember that was 1995. It a small book only 57 pages. It was developed by NSW, but I am sure other states would have one just like it.

Hope this helps

Re: risk assessment

To get started on your SOP's, you could use "Getting it to work" Physics equipment for High Schools, put out by the DET. We copied these to put them with the equipment, so any teacher will know how to use that piece of equipment.

Re: risk assessment

Perhaps you may mean S.O.P's Standard Operating Procedures. That should be done for most of your equipment. Lets say the Laser, A set of operating points remarks needs to put on a piece of cardboard labeled Standard Operating Procedure for this Laser. Also placed with your laser should be a sign whi...

Hi, If you have Copper Sulfate Pentahydrate, it is a different Molecular weight, 249.68, So for 1M you would need 12.5g of Copper sulfate Pentahydrate, 475ml of distilled water, and 25ml of Conc Sulfuric acid this would make up 500ml of 1M for you. It is very expensive to make up 1M of copper sulfat...
