Hi everyone, Could someone please let me know what is required for school labs in NSW please. I have just come from QLD and just need to know what i need to do in the labs. Are risk assessments needed from teachers when doing experiments? Do we need full MSDS in lab and front office or are mini fine...

I know, hate the free standing ones, bit flimsy, but we only have windows and cupboards above our sinks and no free wall space.

We have 2 brand new wall mountable drying racks that we can't use as we have no where to put them. If anyone would like them they are a free give away, otherwise they will just go in the bin. You will have to pick up the items.

Does anyone have a substitute for Touluidione blue to test for lignin? We have no touluidine blue and want to do this test today if anyone has an alternative. Thanks.

Yes soda glass has a low melting temp and can be melted over a bunsen burner. Don't get boro glass as that needs a much higher temperature.

WE already have the fruit flies and equipment. This is what they want to do as we rarely do any pracs and don't have access for students to do a lot of work on computers as only have a few computer rooms here and horrible internet connection.
