Hi Everyone
I was just asked for calcium metal, we don't have any. It is to do the same prac as has been talked about above. I'm just wondering does everyone have calcium in there in chem stores and if you do how do you store it. Any info will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Krysia

Re: chemical Register
Thanks for putting that up Jazz
Just one question. On page 14 it says that the corrosive cupboard should not be in the chemical store? Have I misinterpreted that? I wouldn't have any where else to put my corrosive cupboard.

Re: voltameter
I use 1M sodium sulfate with a few drops of universal indicator so the columns go green, pink and purple, everyone likes it but the stoppers around the electrodes have perished but I just cored new ones and replaced them. A bit of mucking around I know but all is good.

Re: chemical Register
we purchased the SciList program and if I ever get time I was going to have a go at using the chemical register that came with that. Has anyone else already done this by any chance? I wonder if its possible to import your current list directly to the Scilist program.

Acids
Hi
I know I've read on here before but can't find it now. Should strong acids be stored in glass or plastic, for some reason I think its plastic but when you buy the stuff it comes in a glass bottle? Thanks for any help.

Actually can anyone tell me if having our SDS'S printed in colour is mandatory? I'm trying to get access to a colour printer and this would help my argument.
Thanks

Hi Cindy
I had the same problem. I replaced the rubber stoppers that the electrodes go through and they haven't leaked since.
