Storage of Dichloromethane
Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone knows where I should store dichloromethane? I have safe handling and disposal details, but for storage all I can find, is in glass and kept away from light? So should I just put in on the "Toxic" shelf??

Hi All, Since posting this, Ive found an answer, Serrata now sell silicon teats that replace the rubber ones, at a cost of $3.00 for 10, why they didnt tell me this yesterday when I was talking to them about the rubber ones is beyond me #-o anyway being silicon they should last a bit longer, cheers ...

:thumbup: We call it whose got ebola!! 0.001M HCl, 0.1M NaOH as the diseased sample, and phenol red for indicator. They have droppers, swap 1ml with three other people, put in the indicator, infected pink, non infected yellow. Then they try to work out by who swapped with who, which one was diseased...

Correct me if Im wrong, but i also believe the "new" GHS labels are for "use" only, that it when goes out in the lab for use, but storage is still the same as pre GHS, or has there been an update to this? MariaQ
