Re: Microwave Demonstration Equipment

I'm guessing you are talking about metal plates, grills etc They can just go into scrap metal bin if you have one .
If you also have the Wax prisms and lenses, can't see any issue with putting in general waste.

As far as the transmitter/ receivers go , it's just e-waste .

Re: Senses Boxes

Thanks Rosalie.
Personally I like the idea of petri dishes and essential oils . It would take up less storage space .
I may look at switching some of mine to what you are using . The Camphor smell is really strong and tends to overpower the others ,especially if left uncovered for too long.

These were something I was asked to make a few years ago .At the time I thought it was a bit lame , but they have been used over and over .There are four of each . One is a tactile feel box . It has four holes that kids stick thier finger in and expla...

Re: Experiment gone wrong

My head teacher says that Primary Schools are not allowed to do experiments with anything that's not edible . So using Metho is a breach straight up .

Which could explain why so many year 7 kids are always asking if they can eat everything :yuck:.....to much molly coddling :whistling2:

Mind you , with the departments new rule that Teachers that are Covid positive can come to work if they want and a new Covid variant which is unaffected by the Vaccines sweeping through NSW , probably won't be ...

Re: How to post a picture on Chemtalk

OK, just discovered that the Attachment size has a limit of 500Mb . So you can scale pics bigger than 800 pixels if the pic doesn't have too much detail in it . Maybe up to 1200 pixels on the long side . But for the most part 800 pixels will cover most Pictures. This forum must have a file size limi...

Nice work MrsCooper . \:D/ wondering what 3D design program you are using ? I looked at Fusion 360 and my brain exploded so gave up . Then tried Google sketchup. That seemed really hard work and wasn't the right tool . Tried Tinkercad and although its a Kiddies program , it suits my ability :whistlin...

Re: pH Charts

Wow! They look great! We have the universal charts that come with the indicator. What will you use the other charts for? I don't know that I've ever needed to know the exact colour range of the other indicators like that. Thanks Rosalie , It's just something the Chem teacher has always asked about ...
