Yep!!! here at the College we have just finished with the bacteria.agar plates
and it is ok to wrap unopened plates tightly in newspaper and tape up.Then wrap in plastic.However I always write BACTERIA WASTE very clearly for the cleaners to know what they are handling.

I'm needing help again!!! I already have about 8 ester combinations.But what I'm looking for is a combination using Propanoic Acid. One of our Chemistry teachers who used this has now left and no one else knows what the mix is or what fragrance it produces.I have a feeling it might have been roses!!...

Just read your other message!! The Dept. of Education and Training pays a fee every year for the schools to be able to access this site.You should have easy access to it on your DET site by typing in: detwww.det.edu.au/assessmentmanagement/chemicals/.

Hi all
Can anyone out there in lab. land recommend a reliable PH meter!! I have 2 hand- held meters but they are useless. I need fairly accurate readings for Yr. 12 in particular.

Hello all
I have just made a starch solution for the Osmosis experiment using dialysis tubing etc. I made 500mls using 10g of potato starch. This is good enough for any experiments that requires starch solution.
