Hi, We have the same number of kits. I did exactly what you had in mind. I took the cardboard dividers out of most of the boxes or rearranged them as needed eg to separate the windmill hubs and vanes and labelled the boxes as required. A recipe posted previously ( thank you smiley ) said dissolve 0.2 g of the indicator powder in 15 mL of NH3 and add 5 mL of ethanol). Could you please tell me what strength ammonia solution you use? Do you dilute the conc ammonia solution to about 3 or 4%?

The stain we have used to show mitosis in onion and garlic root is aceto-orcein stain, (approx $30 per 100mls from the chemical companies)
