I dispose our agar plates by putting them in the microwave for 10 minutes in a microwave bag and then sealing that bag in another bag and then putting it in the tuckshop external waste bin.

Hi,

I use Finish powerball tablets and find I have no problems with cleaning items.
If it is an especally dirty load I use the pots cycle, and like others soak really stobourn stuff.

Hello,

I have the same problem, We use a strond electromagnet (physic has it) and use that to attracht the filings off.

The tape method does work, but use gaffa tape.
You will loose most of the fillings.

A really tall bottle

Hello,

The best way to prevent the CaOH from clouding the lime water is to store it in a really tall bottle, we use some old style glass cordial bottles with the leaver stopper.

With the tall bottle you are less likley to disturbe the sedemint on decantering.
