Re: A Bad Day

Actually, I remember working in this factory with a manager who was "not popular" for want of describing her... Anyway her office developed a terrible smell that just couldn't be traced for months. As it turned out, someone had put prawn shells in her air conditioner! Pheeee-ew!

Re: A Bad Day

Hey 42,
My sympathy is with you. Had the same thing happen to me last Monday. I had to leave early the Friday before and the last lesson there was one class doing kidney dissection. Yuckko! Green doesn't aptly describe it!

Re: yr metals conductivity

Hi everyone, I bought several types of conductivity rings from a couple of different places in the past three years and can highly recommend the ones sold by Science Supply Australia. Although they are $28 each they have a good metal ring in which each metal is riveted to. Having bought some cheaper...

Re: Colours of MSDS's

I print my mini MSDS' on the appropriate coloured paper for the classification of the chemical.
you know, like Sodium chloride on blue, magnesium on green, sodium hydroxide on orange. Works well for us as it tells you at a glance the rating of the chemical.

Re: FUME CUPBOARDS

Hey Smiley!
Put me down for it as well... it's getting to be like Winter here :cheesy: with the days not warming up very much and the nights becoming frosty.

Sue,
Don't worry too much about the cupboard saying Good Morning... I mean, let's get practical here, can it make a decent cup of coffee?

Re: Absolute zero on SBS

Hi Barb, I can download the show onto a thumb drive and depending on how much memory it takes, the program to enable viewing it (otherwise you go Clickview on the net and download the program). Now this will not allow you to tape it, but if you are looking at having a copy for a class to view it, it...

Re: Absolute zero on SBS

Morning Barbara!
Our very clever library assistant has recorded this show (without even asking! Such a treasure!) but on Clickview. Let me know if you know about Clickview and I 'll tell you how I can get you a copy.

Lou. :D

We have carpet squares where our desks are, and lino around the benches. If you were to get carpet, then I could highly recommend carpet squares.

The identification of Bunsen Burners

Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone out there could tell me how to identify a LPG bunsen as opposed to a natural gas one. We have just recently come into the good fortune of being given alot of lab equipment for nothing and the bunsens have thrown me as one (yes, only one) has been labelled LP...
