Re: Interactive whiteboards - do you use them?
Hi Jen,
We have one here in science and it is used as an interactive board by just one teacher - others just use it as an "expensive" white screen for DVD's, clickview and the like. The primary school has many interactive boards and use them most of the day.
Cheers for now,
Karen

Re: bell jars
Thanks one and all for your tips.
I ended up listening (via a sound level meter) for an increase in sound once the vacuum was switched off - worked like a charm - even the Year 10's were impressed - and that takes a lot!
Have a great easter,
Karen

Good afternoon all,
We are having difficulty evacuating air from our bell jar (housing a ticking clock) to the extent that the clock can no longer be heard.
Any hints??

Re: Disposable gloves
We supply disposable gloves for dissections. Sometimes the senior Chem classes need them as well. I have found a cheap supplier in SafetyQuip (http://www.chemtalk.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=451) who deliver in a reasonable time frame. We also purchase our safety glasses from them. What a great ...

Hello all labbies,
I've had a request from our EES teacher to find WestOne 1A, 1B, 2A, 2B resources. Apparently government schools were issued with these resources for free.
Hope someone can help,
have a good weekend,
Karen

Re: hydrogen balloons
I've had similar problems generating enough hydrogen gas to fill a balloon. Whatever way you generate the gas, be aware that balloons are porous and some gas will leak through.
Good luck

Good morning all,
Yes, here in WA we have a School Animal Ethics Committee (SAEC) for any work involving animals. Paper work is lengthy and a pain but apparently necessary!
