We are slowly replacing all ours with the blue plastic ones can go through the dish washer, haven't had an issue with hot test tubes, one lab has now had them for over 4 years. Yes I think there is a problem with years of chemical residue build up. There are a lot of chemicals student are not allowe...
Looking at purchasing owl pellets. However they are very expensive, considering it's a once only experience. Does anyone know of anything else that could be used with the same effect? That would meet all safety requirements (sterilised).

Hi all,
I got 1 pair of NO2/N2O4 tubes for equilibrium from a place in WA. In 2014 they cost $134 + freight. The tubes are about 14cm long.
Am I allowed to post the company's information for this specialist item? Or I can pm the info to anyone interested.

Thanks Macca, what microscope did you end up going with?
Sorry been a bit distracted lol Prism Optical. Bit expensive but we haven't bought new senior microscopes in over 20 years hopefully they'll last another 20 yrs.
We bought expensive microscopes then purchased Smartphone (universal) adapters from china (AliExpress) around $5 each they work brilliantly can then enlarge even further.

I think, I might be wrong but Riskassess is looking at including Disposal of chemicals in the near future. So it will make the CSIS obsolete for me. Very happy with Riskassess.
Cobalt Chloride and Nickel Chloride are another two that concentrations have been drastically reduced. I think if I was in a DET school I would be pushing for HT to get Risk Assess, I know a lot in our area are using it. Not just our safety but everybody concerned it's kept up to date, any questions...

Silver nitrate bottles are covered in foil been using like that for 8-9 years now not a problem. Iodine in amber regent bottles kid use disposable droppers. So much easier,...
We all have our SDS and we have a Risk Assessment for every chemical we have from the Risk Assess program. However looking at a chemical individually doesn't give you an overall picture.
I have tabled our Science chemicals according to the Toxicity, it is confronting to say the least.
