Earth and Environmental Science (NSW syllabus)

Post by fibreweb »

Hi All,

Welcome back for another year!.

This year for the first time in many years we are doing Earth and Environmental Science in Year 11 carrying on to Year 12 next year. The teacher has not taught this subject for many years also.

I was wondering if there are any of you out there that ofer this subject for your NSW Hsc and can give me some information about what is actually needed in the way of resources ( as opposed to buying new soil and water testing kits at the cost of over $1,000!!)

Also are any rocks specimins needed apart from the usual, basic igneous, metamorphis and sedimentary rocks used in the junior school.

Thanks,

Wendy

Hi Wendy - we offer this course here externally and the kids do it via Camden Haven so You may like to give them a call and talk with them they are really easy going group of teachers and I think of the top of my head ask for Lisa Burton she is who we speak with. Hope this is of some help.
