I have been asked to source and get prices for new lab stools. Any ideas?

Your ordering people (front office) should have a furniture catalogue. Are you in a school? Batger (not sure of spelling) offer all these types of products. Get the catalogue & have a browse

I've got a couple of Lab stools (golden labrador land mines) in my backyard if your interested! God knows why you'd want them! I can't stand laboratory stools in my Laboratories either! They are always in the way so I hide them. See (below) not a stool in sight! (or a student!) We're lucky our labs are seperate to our theory rooms so the madness is kept to a minimum. There are 2 per lab. I have 3 stools in total - mainly for me in my prep rooms. Q Stores 'ave 'em.

Is this for teacher or students?, I under stood, students must have back support, perhaps I am wrong. Check with OH&S.

I've never seen a students lab stool with back support. Thats probably why they all walk like baboons!

Great idea Richard,
No stools or students in the lab. if we can just get rid of the teachers we'll be right.
Our stools certainly don't have back support. DET schools have a central place you get essential furniture from- don't know about Independent schools.
Good luck Ellice.

Not bad eh?! Did it tough at a previous school though with 7 labs + 4 prep rooms over 3 blocks on 2 different levels. All of different age and design. It's there I got my dislike and fear of lab stools! Lots of stairs and walking. That's why I've got legs like Dean Lukin!

Hey Slar!
I bought stools this year, they are great! (with backs) from
R E Batger Ltd you can google this and check out the catalogue.
They where recommended by another chemtalk family.
The product code was TRU POS RES-47
The come in a variety of heights and colours.
Ask if you can have 1 to try before buy!
Cheaper if you buy more $58each for 30.
Our other labs have Sebel Cosmic but we like these better. Happy shopping!

Thanks for all the help gang. I was able to give the boss some info, and he was impressed. I didn't let on about the 'Chemtalk connection'. Do you mind if I take all the credit? I like the people here thinking they can't do without me!!

Thanks again, Ellice.

Hi Ellice

Of course you can take the credit! =D> 8-) It is knowledge gained through your own research. How your research was done is completely irrelevant. :coffee:
