Can anyone suggest an inexpensive practical for making a DNA model that's different from the paper cut out ones? We have used the pipe cleaner one, and also the one using sweets, but this gets a little expensive.Your suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks, Lell :D

We use coloured clothes pegs clipped onto rubber tubing. Works well.

We use a variety off lollies and tooth picks
including -small marshmellows used for cakes, rasberries, musk sticks, milk bottles, any other soft lollies not cover in sugar. the girls love it and they are allowed to eat some as they work along.
I get some too!

Hi
We use fyna licorice straps 2 metres long (from coles)-does 2 groups-4 pieces and jelly beans (just elcheapos from reject shop) held together with pointed toothpicks.
It works fantastic because you can twist it slightly and then the kids eat it.
Just ask that there are no allergies before you start the prac.
Hope this helps
