Algal Balls

Post by littltesttube »

Good Afternoon Has anyone made these recently? If so what are your thoughts? Is it better just to buy them? They are about $60 for 60 balls. Thanks

We make them ourselves...... if you have the time well worth the saving of $$$. If you are too busy, your time is money.

Hey how strange I made some of these yesterday. Provided you have all the stuff they are really easy to make. We have a fish pond out the back so we didn't have to buy an algae culture, just collected some green water, let it settle. Syphoned the algae from the bottom and made them up according to the method in this video.

They work a treat!
