The perfect hay infusion

Post by Marama T »

Hi all. I believe I've discovered the perfect hay infusion recipe. Prep five days before use. Jar with holes in lid. Teaspoon soil from biodiverse area of garden (e.g. under a tree with lots of mulch on ground). Teaspoon home-made compost (not the stuff you buy). Handful mulch/straw/hay. About five centimetres of rainwater or distilled water. Shake a few times gently. Store out of direct sunlight. And positively zillions of critters will appear under the microscope!

Love it, I just made one using hay/straw that had been left on the compost stack in our orchard
