Post by Westlab »

Hi all!

We're looking to put a few PD sessions together and wanted to bounce back some topics ideas with you.

Please, vote which topics you are interested in learning more about. You can also suggest topics if not listed in the poll.

The poll will be open until 31st May. Once the poll is closed, we'll choose the winner of a free 10 pack of UNI Stoppers (size of your choice).

We would love to get your vote and suggestions on PD topics so we can add the most value to you all!

Many thanks!

Perhaps a hands-on prac, or demo, on the topic of Agar plates - preparation, use, what to avoid as well as safe disposal.

And yes - pracs that work would be great for everyone!

I'd be interested on something on rocks and learning about the geology of the region. Also ideas on how to make rocks / earth science more interesting as the teachers mostly groan when they are doing that subject.
Also, physics experiments - I have done workshops before but it is the topic I struggle mostly with. Some of the workshops I have done have been more focused on using data loggers. I would rather have hands on how to set up physics equipment and what they mean.
I'm looking forward to coming as it is a few years since I have down PL.
Thanks
