should latex stink??

The new bottle of latex we purchased absolutely stinks - the teacher planning to use it describes it as a mixture of rotten milk and dirty nappies. Certainly when he briefly opened it, we both gagged and rushed to open windows. Should it be so smelly or has it gone off?

Yeah it stinks , not so sure about the rotton milk .
To me it smells like fish but with a strong ammonia smell ....that's probably the pissy nappy smell

We have two bottles of it in the Store room .
I haven't seen anyone ask for it ever since I've been here .
I asked at recess who uses it and why and nobody knew.
