disposal of iodine after sublimation demo

Hi,

I had a teacher do a demo of iodine sublimation while i was away, with the aftermath left for me to clean up with a note attached that says sorry i didnt know what to do with this...??

do i write it off and pout in chem disposal or i think i read somewhere sodium thiosulphate sol until clear and wash as normal

you can left iodine to disperse in fume hood or you can add sodium thiosulfate until clear, flash down the drain with copious amounts of water
