Margaret, does ASET-NSW membership qualify for the lower rate? (The website doesn't mention labbie associations)

If you belong to a state association gives you membership rate.
Are you planning on going Liz ??

Just a possibility at this stage, Margaret - for one day only.

Although the Island tour looks very tempting!

How many of you labbies are going to Conasta?
Is it worthwhile?
How many days are you attending?
Don't know whether I want to give up holiday time for it!!! as I will have to pay for flights and accommodation myself!

I won't be going, although it sounds interesting. Not sure if I love this job sooooo much that I'd want to give up my holidays for it, either! Maybe one year when it is closer to home (Sydney or Canberra) I might consider it.

Flights and accommodation can be claimed back on tax. School should pay registration.
Incorporate CONASTA into a holiday. Take a few extra days to see the sights around Brisbane and the Gold Coast. I'm going to MovieWorld and SeaWorld and catch up with friends while up there and will still have the second week of holidays to myself back home.
I must admit I am a CONASTA junkie and attend for the full conference. So many new ideas and interesting speakers as well as networking with interstate colleagues and suppliers and usually come home with lots of samples and giveaways.
I have seen a lot of Australia over the last 15 years that I wouldn't normally have seen.
CONASTA will be in Hobart next year & Sydney 2018
I can highly recommend the experience.

I unfortunately won't be going to CONASTA again this year. :cry2: I've always enjoyed going to it. Not only is it a great learning experience you also get to meet some great people. If you have the opportunity definitely go!
