Starter pistol

Post by curie »

Hi all, atecher just bailed me up and asked if I had a starter pistol. 8-[
I said no, but PD might . he wants to do some prac timing the puff of smoke till they hear the crack or some such thing.
Does anyone know if you need a special license to use them? I can't find any mention on riskassess. Thanks.

Our school did this prac. We used the PDHPE pistol. I found a risk assessment on the web and tailored it to the situation. Worked well

I've just found out that we do indeed have starter pistols and caps in the school, and they have never been included on the chemical register. My head hurts.

I've been using a generic SDS for 'signal caps'. Haven't checked Chemwatch as yet this year to see if they have one for them now.
