Hot Ice demo using Sodium Acetate

Hi
We have been trying to get the "Hot Ice" demonstration from utube to work. Has anyone had success? We have year 3 coming into Sc on Mon for a look at "Chemical /Physical change" and ,as Frozen is the movie they are all watching, we thought it would be good to catch their attention. We saturate the sol and as we are decanting it starts to form a skin on the top which makes it of no use.
