Welcome back.

No excitement; just moved house over the break. Moved in okay, with some slight hassle fitting everything in to a smaller house. Then the heat hit town and the new house just soaks it in.

Still, it's closer to work so what we save on fuel we can spend on extra air conditioning. Meh.

Busy time - a new grand-daughter born January 4th in USA.
I had some fun times with friends - belly dancing girls!
But most of the time helping friends pack up their house - just about everything except the furniture went into boxes. They sold the house to pay off business debts but now have nowhere to live and are going to live in a caravan at a caravan park. My garage is now packed solid!

A big welcome back - after nearly a two year break I have returned to labby-land! Long story with the nursery jobs not going to plan and struggling to get any time off for holidays.
Had a great Christmas break - got news of this job mid-December so we had a holiday to make up for the last two years - been to the Snowy Mountains, north to Corindi, then Myall Lakes. Home for a few days then south to Eden to spend time with my brother and his family who were holidaying there. I was nearly ready for work by the end of it. I'm now dealing with the stress of fitting in to a new work environment, and trying to remember what I have to do!

Look forward to hearing from you all.

Hi Sunray.
Same thing hapenned to friends of ours. It is a nightmare. They had a house in Wollongong wich they had to sell and even after sale, still have debts. They are in early to mid 60ties, but no retirement for them, as they have to rent and pay loans. They spent 4 days with us, which was wonderful. I feel so sorry for them. There just wasnt enough help for small bussiness.

Merilyn,
WELCOME BACK! Good to have you back with us, although from the sounds of what you did on HOLIDAYS, I imagine that starting up in a new school and setting up the entire science department from scratch, might be less strenuous than your "Holiday"!

Remember, if you need any help, we are all here for you!

Cheers
Ian

I've sorted Ian out - I fortunately inherited an established science faculty. It was my predecessor who took on a new school.

And it's true, sometimes all we need is a sense of humour to get through.
