Histological Wax

Post by Janice »

We have some histological wax that has never been used to my knowledge. Does anyone know if there is a way of using it that is suitable for a school ie not too complicated?
Thanks

we heat ours up, in a small metal tray on the hot plate. Cut A4 white paper in half, and drip it into the melted wax. It dries so quickly on the paper. We use this for magnets & Iron fillings. It is much stronger wax paper then you can buy. I also dip candle ends into this wax, and set them onto small glass petri dishes, the candles stand up better.
