Hi all, some years ago we purchased a fossil hunt kit . The students had to 'dig' in the box to find fossils, but it is basically one use only ( because now it has been "digged" before). Does anyone have the same kit and come up with a brilliant way to reuse the kit? Not surre how PVA would go sticking it back up to be 'dug' again. Cheers, Bella :-?

Couldn't you just do a plaster of paris mould, with sand that they could 'dig' in??

Pretty sure a lot of those fossil dig kits that you can buy are a very light mix of Plaster of Paris, with lots of sand, or even chalk. You really just need barely enough P-o-P to bind the chalk or sand together. Depends how long you'd like the little cherubs to be digging for

I have fossil kits for the students to make fossils using plaster of paris. I made latex moulds of the original kit moulds and these are what students use..simple!
