Hi Everyone,
Can anyone please tell me if Potassium Chlorate can be used in schools. In Appendix D it says that it is banned.

It is banned by the DETE specifically for use in the preparation of hydrogen with manganese dioxide, but in practice seems to be treated across the board as being under a blanket ban.

That is probably safest, since if it is not there it is not a temptation to certain teachers. As it turns out, quite a few applications the DETE never considered can be almost as lively.
