My Head Teacher(Relieving Head Teacher for term1) wants me to go on an excursion to Jenolan Caves. No supervising Students.
She asked my SAM and she said no way could I go.If I had a child in that class I could go as a Parent.
It would have been a great experience but looks like I have to clean Labs instead. :-(

The only way I get to go on an excursion, and that has been very infrequent, is if they need someone to carry the equipment, or professional learning experience, or the token felmale. As you say, you can't supervise students, so there has to be a purpose for your going.

My head teacher gives me a stopwatch and pencils to carry, and then it's OK.

Get your head teacher to justify to the SAM her reasons why you must be there!
