Artistic Help

Post by jillian.courtney »

We have several blank walls in our science hallway. HT wants to spruce up with paintwork, murals etc by various (responsible) students. Has anyone out there got any ideas or web sites I can visit to access ideas. Much appreciated for any help. :D

Why not do the Solar System or beakers or Atoms or lots of Science stuff.
At my old school they painted to blinds by taking a picture from one of the Science books and projecting on to the blind and then all year 7 painted it and put their name and date.
Each year could do a part.

I had a boring wall and decided to recycle some student artworks which were unwanted. I called it 'the art of science' wall.
There where photos, 3D artworks, paintings looked great and everyone enjoyed it.

I think something that is non-permanent would work well.. you can change things around then

We have two notice boards in one hall area, I have one with optical illusions that I change every few weeks. The other board I take photos from fun experiments with the children doing the experiment. The kids come and complain that I have put their photo up but then you see them bringing their friends up to have a look.

anything that gets their attention is good.

let us know what you do

Photos from excursions, and practical classes always go down well. Use your artistic skills to showcase fun in Science!
