What do you guys use when this is requested? Every year i rack my brains trying to come up with things... they generally need to be used with the spring balance so need to be able to be 'hooked' (or else we use a zip lock bag with a hole in it...).

I have blocks of wood with key rings taped to the ends, good for dragging along different surfaces to measure friction. Hope that helps

We use old hard rubber stoppers, the ones with a hole in the middle are perfect. They are just too hard to fit into a piece of glass, but just great as weights etc.

We use wooden blocks with hooks screwed into the end, they also have sandpaper glued to the bottom for a different surface. The weights are the brass weights with the hook and they can just add or subtract the weights when needed.
