Can't believe I actually found where I bought them. Don't faint but it was Serrata and they were called ball and ring two handle type and were $9 pair, and I bought them in Jun 07. The item number was 1019005. Whether they have them or not now, don't know. Good luck. :D

Serrata's 2010/11 catalogue has them at $14.60 for the separate handles, $16.50 for one handle and ball on a chain.
Love the idea of the separate handles and no chain to break. Think I will be updating mine old ones with these.
