Help i have been searching looking for this thread on chemtalk.

About 4 or 5 years ago I came across a thread on this subject with links to a virtual set up of a circuit. If anybody has this link I would appreciate it.

See if this site opens for you,
http://phet.colorado.edu/en/simulation/ ... ion-kit-dc
Once you have downloaded the simulation you can either have a lifelike or schematic type circuit. You can add items from the grab bag , such as a paper clip and see if the object conducts electricity.
