Hi Everyone! Accommodation is running out fast!

I have tried to book at Greystanes Inn but they are booked out. The Formule 1 still has some rooms available. Is anyone else staying there yet? I am planning to book today (please don't beat me to it!!!). I didn't ring the other place (closer but more expensive) so I don't know how they are going for availability. Look up the thread 'where to stay at graystanes' or similar for their phone numbers.

My HT is happy for me to go. It's just the airfare, accommodation and relief that cause a hiccup.

Perhaps if the cost of flight/accommodation etc is too much and holds you back, could you do a deal with the school where they pay the fees and you pay the rest and claim it back, or you pay one way or something? You are so fortunate to be replaced! I think it has been said before. Most of the rest of us just have to work our little butts off extra hard surrounding 'days off' to make sure everything is done!

I should probably mention that I don't get covered for my Science days - just the days I am missing out of the office!!

After much deliberation we've decided I won't head down to the conference this year - we bought 6 microscopes for the Science Department instead.
I'm happy with the decision but do intend to make it to the Big Smoke another year. I had such a great time last year!

Hi everyone,
I am very excited as I am coming to the conference this year for the first time in ages.
Every year it seems to clash with our year 12 prac exams but I managed to get in first this time and now the pracs will be held a bit later.
Looking forward to meeting all the chemtalk people .
I hope my FAX got to you Rosalie as I have told the teachers I am already accepted!!!
