WEB SITE FOR SIMPLE ENZYME EXPERIMENTS

Post by waddle »

For those of you that have enquired about the simple enzyme experiments' web site:

http://www.zoo.utoronto.ca/able/volumes ... miller/pdf

If this site is, for some reason, not available input "simple enzyme experiments" in the Google search engine and the first item should be the site you need.

I hope you find this useful.

Regards

Junket Tablets Found

Post by amma »

As many of you are aware Junket Tablets have been removed from NSW supermarkets.I rang the original supplier Hansens in South Australia and they informed me of a company called Simply Junket and they can offer powdered Junket in vials (2 for $11.00) and by getting behind them they might have the Junket back into Health food stores and IGA supermarkets.
So spread the word and Biology Teachers will be happy.

Simple Enzyme Experiments

Post by rae »

Hi All!!

Southern Biological sell Rennet 20ml for $5.30.
Rennet is the same as renin which is what junket tablets are made of.

I haven't used this but thought it could be an alternative.

I also have amylase powder which we used in a prac with starch and iodine solution. We used the data loggers and a light meter to measure the reaction. It worked really well!!

Lorrae :-)
