Hi All, Noona

I have to regretfully say that my Uni Exams fall during the times of the Conference. The whole dissapointing thing being is that there is no break for me over the last three years.

I am glad to be a presenter (Space or Chem or Physics) but I just can;t commit until I know my Dates at Uni.... Regretfully I have to report this.....

Cheers,

Robb.....

I got my forms today, saw my SAM who did not hesitate, especially when I told her there was a workshop on the Dataloggers we just bought and smartboards. :clap3: :clap3: :clap3:

They are now filled in, and hopefully in the post, with a copy faxed to get in early.

Looking forward to seeing you all this year as I missed last year. :-)

I have heard so many references to St Mary's I have to check it out myself and check out many of the names that crop up in this forum

It's with a sad heart I can't go this year.
The Det has placed a training day on CSIS and chemical rooms etc, at Port Macquarie on the same days :banghead:
Even though they were told that St Marys was on those appointed days. :redcard:
My boss's above say I have to go to Pt.
(Not that I'm not glad to see Sharon up there)
I was really looking forward to St Marys. Will have a gap in my coffee cup collection now!
Trish.

Can't resist some feedback:

Oh Robb, how disappointing for those of us who want to meet you - but uni exams are a pretty good excuse, and we wish you well. Let's just hope you can make it next year!

Rosalie from NT - while I know exactly what you mean about putting faces to names, it's a bit of a worry that you'd come so far to meet us 8O :w00t:

Trish - chin-up, at least it's positive that they're running a course locally, and maybe you can pass something on for the rest of us.
I know what you mean about the mugs, though - my red one's handle broke :cry2: , so it now has pride of place as a pen holder on my desk.
Speaking of mugs - want to take bets on this year's colour? :wink2:

Any reminder of the two days are great.

Hi all
Went on chemtalk yesterday to discover that the St Marys flyers were out. Well, I went into a flat spin harrasing my HOD  :cry2:  until I found it. I got it filled out and faxed off yesterday arvo. Hope I'm not to late. Then this morning HOD wants me to do another course the week before #-o , but its okay I can do both :clap3: how good is that. Can't wait to see everyone again. Any body travelling up the hume highway and passing by Goulburn let me know maybe we can car pool or convoy.

Hello folks,
I have just faxed off my application!!
My Science HT was very happy to put in a cheque request and pay the course fees out of the science budget as a teacher resource; the SAM still commented on the cost of relief and said it turns out very expensive which made me feel a little guilty but doesn't dampen my enthusiasm.

Maybe after November I will have to stop saying "I'm not really a lab assistant, I am an office lady in Science."

Noona, could you tell me please how many participants in each workshop.? Just worried I may miss the boat on some things. Then again I am signing up for all the basic sessions and most chemtalk people seem well past these.

Cheers,
Patti

They are replacing you while you are gone???? WOW!!! Keep your job!! Most of us (as far as I know) who go away for training like this (or even just being sick...) have to make sure pracs are all organised before we leave and if teachers didn't get their requests in soon enough they would have to fend for themselves. Then, the next week after being away is filled with catching up on the washing up, putting everything away, rediscovering the bench tops in the prep room and also getting all the regular jobs done... I've been away on school excursions for a week at a time and had to do as much as I could before I left and then clean up as fast as I could when I got back. But the excursions were worth the effort :)

It is part of the reason i gave up flex days. So much washing up to come back to. Lucky you some one to come in while you are away.
