I'm in the same boat as you. Went for my fix of the day and could not get onto the site. Sent an email requesting they unblock this site. Am home now and checking up on what I may have missed out on. I am only a recent user of the site and find it interesting and soooo helpful. Hope I can get on tomoz.

Right now I am getting really annoyed I cannot even refer to You_Tube or Face_Book (without the lines) in a post or else I get I blocked from posting. This is my 4th attempt at sending a message, as I was saying this is a professional forum not a site like You_Tube or Face_Book, so there is not a reason for it be blocked.

Off the subject a bit but still about blocking, up until about a week ago I was able to access You_Tube and Face_Book but then the DoE changed the filtering system and I couldn't access. I asked one of the science teachers on the day that I noticed I couldn't access either of those sites and he said he had just been on You_Tube. One set of rules for teachers and one for other staff I say.

Yes I must admit I was glad to see Chemtalk up and going again today and yep I also sent in an email to try to get it back up and running. Obviously plenty of us did this as we are back online today.
have a good day all.

I don't think they will block this site again in a hurry, they must have had plenty of emails about it. I sent one as well.

Funny how hit and miss it can be. In Tamworth yesterday Fibreweb's was blocked, but I had no problems getting on.
Maybe after the fuss I made when it happened to me recently they've attached a big sign to my name saying "NEVER BLOCK ACCESS FOR THIS #%*& AGAIN!!" ... LOL :cheesy:

Seriously though, I sympathise with everyone affected - checking in with you guys is a highlight of each day. :coffee:

"Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you've got till its gone" :w00t:

Being blocked by the Department from Chemtalk for the best part of two days made me think of these lines from "Big Yellow Taxi" by Joni Mitchell ( those of you that remember the 70's will remember it)

I was going through withdrawal, I couldn't get my "fix" of information and entertainment. There was also a feeling of isolation, wht if I had a problem, without Chemtalk I couldn't get an answer.

I was thrilled this morning to be able to log in again. They must have got lots of complaining e-mails as I sent one also!

Chemtalk is such a wonderful resource, thanks to all who make it happen.

Wendy (Fibreweb)

Condolences to you, Wendy, and everyone at Oxley H.S., on the loss of your Yr 8 student this week. So young, and such a shock for you all.

My thoughts will be with you for the funeral tomorrow.

God Bless,
