I am unwinding from our CEO 2 day conference last Fri/Sat.
One of the workshops I chose was the Owl Pellet Dissection and found it quite fascinating and can highly recommend it if you haven't already made your mind up about which workshops to choose at St Marys.

Send the flier by fax and then send it with you cheque that way you may get the workshops you want I hope as they are filling fast

Is there anyone driving back to the Hunter region on Friday, after the conference, who may have room for 1 (possibly 2) extras (just for the trip back):?

Thanks, Sunray - actually we're wondering if anyone was going from the Upper Hunter.

I am driving both ways but taking the opportunity to visit my son in Sydney, then my parents at Newcastle, so won't be home till Sunday.

One or two local labbies could get a lift down with me, but are still looking at their options for travelling home before committing to the conference (their schools aren't offering to pay their fares) - one of them could possibly organise a lift back from Musselbrook.

The countdown is on - just think where we will be in a fortnights time. Roll on Wednesday Night 23rd November. Looking forward to catching up with everyone.

IF you want to travel down with me also - you could drive to freeman's Waterhole/ or Toronto and leave your car there, and I can pick you up from there and go on.. I have one other person travelling to sydney with me, but not coming back with me.. so I would love company on drive back so I dont snooze!
ALSO NAVIGATORS on the way down..
My car, Subaru Forester, takes 5 but is a bit of a squeeze in the back seat ..
THAT way youa rent driving the WHOLE way there and back, and could even doze off on the way home to toronto so would be fresher for last leg home.
let me know..

I still haven't received any confirmation of the workshops that I will be attending.

Should I be concerned or has that information not been sent out yet?

I have heard nothing more since giving my application form to the "finance lady" in the front office.

She did assure me that she had sent the forms away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the offer of a lift, Sunray, but it won't work out this time. Will definitely keep it in mind for another time though! Always good to spend time with other labbies!

Fibreweb is coming with me, and we'll go down the Putty Rd to save on travelling time. Wendy's staying with family Friday, and heading home Saturday. I'm spending Friday night with my son at Manly (yay!), going to Jersey Boys matinee Saturday (yay too!), then overnight with my elderly parents in Merewether. Home Sunday afternoon.

Trips to Sydney are very rare, so lots to fit in while I'm there!
