I received the flyer from my SAM but there was nothing about accommodation close by. Trying to use Bookit to find accommodation gave my 800 odd places in Sydney not just what was close to Quakers Hill. If I get to come down I will be without private transport so will have to rely on Public transport to get to and from the venue.
Is there a list of accommodation close by available?

I will send you a list that I compiled.
One of the people on this thread is staying at Blacktown, and can offer a lift to and from each day.
But i will send you the list.

I will be staying with friends in Winston Hills. Public transport is not great from their house. Any chance anyone will be driving from nearby and happy to pick up a hitch-hiker?

I am coming down for the Friday sessions, and found a place to stay nearby through Airbnb. Worth a look

Farrer have some Jacaranda junior textbooks to give away:

•approx 120 each of Core Science 1&2 (published 1999)
•approx 90 ea x C.S. 3&4 (pub 2000)
•plus another 20 x C.S. 4 which are in poor condition and have been taken out of circulation

Not sure how many will fit in my little car, but let's see who wants them first, then work out the logistics!

I've got plenty CS 1 & 2 now, but would love the CS3 & 4 please, if my name isn't already attached to them.
I only need 20 of each thanks!

Just wondering when we will find out if we got our workshop preferences. There were some fun looking options on there!

I need to get an invoice before our finance people will pay. I've already sent an email to Rosemary Spears requesting one - is that the best way?

From my understanding your rego form is your invoice?
But emailing for clarification is prob best.

I'm not sure when the workshop preferences will be sent, but you will get plenty of notice.

Are the workshop allocations out yet?

Our next committee meeting is 28th October, this is where we finalise the workshops, then they allocations will be sent out shortly after that.
