Text books what do you use

Our Head Teacher is looking at changing our text books for yr 7 - Yr 10, at the moment we use Tracks 7-10. Just wanted to see what every else uses, with the Curriculum in NSW??

Our school uses Core Science 1-4 Published by Jacaranda. Lots of Pracs and Activities , diagrams and photos. Some areas are brief but overall OK.

We use Core text 1 - 4 plus the Focus series & Heinemann interactive science 1 - 4. We have the Tracks series too but they don't get used by my staff much.

We used to use World of Science 1-4, but have just recently replaced them with Science World 7-10.

We use Science World 7,8,9 and 10, backed up with Science Focus 1,2,3 and 4.

We are a Yr.10 /12 College and use ScienceWorld 10 (third edition), which also has a Workbook and a CD.They are being used regularly by the teachers for the Yr.10 students.

n worked at to schools the first school used the focus books second school uses core scienc1-4 and Hienmens 1-4

We use Science focus, but used to (and still do a little bit) use core science!

We use Science Focus after previously using Heinemann.

We have had Jac science 1,2,3 for 8,9,10. Changing next year due to, they are on their last legs - teacher is thinking of moving to Heinmann - anyone got an opinion of these texts - good or bad.!

We use Science Search books 1-4 for Years 7-10. They seem to do the job ok - no complaints from teachers.

Hi,
We use Science World 7, 8 9 & 10. They are OK, but some of the practicals have chemicals which have restrictions for middle school, eg copper sulphate & crystal making. We just substitute with salt. Some complaints from the teachers, but hey the faculty seniors made the decision & ordered them.
