Chemgold Manifest

Post by beverley »

Hi everyone.
Just enquiring of those who use the Chemgold Manifest about your User Name and Password. I have been trying to get mine for 6 months now. Do you have a contact I could try as I would like to complete my stocktake sometime soon.
Cheers. Bev

Thanks Richard but I think the codes have to come from DET. I have been emailing Paul Drayton (their IT guru) but so far he has been too busy. So I was looking for a Department address.
Cheers Bev.

Hi Bev

I have the name Alan Smith (02) 9561 8956 to get a password to access the manifest to chemwatch gold.

This was passed on by John Deeble, Senior Advisor Assets Service (NSW DET).

I hope this helps out.

Vicki
Thanks for the information. I will try Alan Smith today. I did contact Chemwatch Head Office and they sent me back to Paul Drayton who is the one I have been dealing with at DET.
Cheers.

Dear Bev,
About a year ago, a lot of us in the North West, were trying to put our stocktake on Chemgold, but were told that the dept had to issue individual codes to each school and that it would take a while. Well I gave up waiting, but would still like to use their manifest. Do you know if you have been given an individual code, or one for everyone to use. The problem with the one for everyone to use, was that anyone could change a manifest at any school.

I am interested in this thread. Had a change of Head Teacher this year, may be just for this term. We were very eager to pay chemwatch, for the disc's, so we could do our manifest with chemwatch, but if it is not that secure, not too sure if it is worth the $80.00. Or perhaps I have mixed things up, if you pay it is secure, perhaps someone can enlighten me.

Dear Dime
According to Paul Drayton Chemwatch User Names and Passwords are being sent to schools in the next couple of days. They are specific to your school but I am not sure you will get one if you haven't used the Manifest section previously?

Dear Pommy
As far as I know Chemwatch access is online now and the Manifest section will be totally secure once everyone has a User Name and Password.

That's really good news, thanks for the confirmation Bev. \:D/

Now to find the time to load it all onto Chemwatch ....... :-({|=

(Says, she - who has time today to be posting on this site ...... that's because I've kinda 'given up' trying to kill myself getting everything done by tomorrow afternoon - will be kind to myself instead and come in in the hols ..... surely there's some odd kind of logic in that thinking somewhere ..... Hi everyone
I put our manifest onto our system (saves to your local harddisk unless IT put it on a network drive) using the CD. We have access to the web Chemgold as well but our IT bloke feels it is not secure enough to put the manifest online. What do people think?
Also I have had problems with version 2007/4 with trying to change anything in the manifest. There was supposed to be a patch to fix it but it didn't seem much better. We have just got 2008/1- is it fixed?
Regards
