looking for slater bugs-investigating science

Post by shaz.H »

Hello,
I have been asked to resource some 'slater bugs' for investigating Science next year. Apparently it is the first dot point and the teacher wants to have it ready as soon as school starts. I have looked online at some 'bug stores' but cannot find them, anyone have any ideas apart from me trying to catch some?
appreciate your help

Used to love this prac if it's the same one that used in Bio years ago. Put some newspaper under some leaf litter in your garden they'll come. Love dark damp matter.

Slaters are very common and easy to find. Leaf litter or under logs or rocks are the best places. Good luck!
