Yr12 Chemistry depth study

Post by macca »

Hi Brains trust,

I have a student wanting use Nonanoic acid and Heptanoic acid in a depth study doing Esters. According to Risk Assess they can use, however does anyone know where I can order from? Or are they stocked under another name?

Thanks in advance

Macca
Not sure if this helps .
But I bought some of this on the weekend as we hate Glyphosate .Thought the active ingredient sounded familiar :D

Its Nananoic Acid .

BTW , had a look around the usual Chem supply places and neither of those you wanted were available either as you listed or by their alternate names .

I am doing my SDS' from Chem Supply so thought while I was on the site to check for Nonanoic and Heptanoic acid.
Both appear to be available at a price of $39/$35 for only 25 mls.
My thought is too expensive for limited use
