Thanks Labbie,
I was in Melbourne this weekend for a weekend of R&R, and then the with the weather along with a list of other things going wrong that husband had to deal with without me!
Our garage was completely covered in 4cm of water - thats going to be a fun day to clean all that up - we're just getting a skip bin!

OH NO, that's awful, having a R&R weekend away, and coming back to an awful mess.

The road to my school was cut by floodwaters this a.m., had to take the long way around. Waiting to hear of possible bridge closures at Windsor and Richmond - half the Science Dept. including myself live on the other side of Hawkesbury River.

Took me twice as long to get to work this morning. Picton looked like a war zone. Feel sorry for the shop owners - dare say many will give up. We had lots of rain, but live further "up the hill" so no problem with flooding. Did have a blackout most of yesterday, came on around 6pm and went out again around 10. My husband was at home today and the power came on at 10.30. No power, also means no running water for us - so an interesting morning.
