Kiwi Fruit DNA extraction

Has anyone substituted Kiwi for something else in the "Fruitful DNA" prac? We have a kid allergic to Kiwi and the teacher wants to do this prac.

You can use bananaor strawberries they are good subsititues. We also used rockmelon which worked suprisingly well.

We have used strawberries and they have worked fine in the past.

Thanks. We are using bananas in another prac this week so think we will go with this :)
