Glow sticks

Post by mrsmac »

One of our teachers would like to make glow sticks. Would anyone have a simple recipe, or know where to purchase fluorescent dye and diphenyl oxalate?

Another teacher is making lipstick and our supplies of pigment are low. Where can I source a small quantity of pigment?

I don't know about the glow sticks, but for my lipstick recipe we use crayons for the colouring, kid safe ones.

We make chocolate lip gloss, and I use the chocolate "melts", which work just fine.

I have cut open a fluoro highlighter and used the dye to colour water which I froze in ice cream container and put them under a black light! looked great.

Thanks, Bindi. I will pass it on to the teacher.
