Oxalic acid saturated soln.

Hey all,

Having a bit brain melt down here, i've totally gone blank on how many grams of oxalic acid powder is needed to make a saturated soln of oxalic acid.

arghhhhhh... i need a holiday :crazy: :crazy: :crazy:

Get your required volume of solution put it on a hotplate with a stirrer and add the solid until no more will dissolve.
The SI Handbook will give you the solubility per 100mls

Hi Vic,
think solubility of oxalic acid in water varies with temp. At 15deg, sol is 9.5 g/100mL. at 25deg, sol is 14.3g/100mL.
Like Judy suggests.....Keep adding until no more dissolves could also work.
