my 0.5 m/L sodium bromide solution has gone clear yellow (used to be clear)
can I rescue it? can it be used as it is?

Hi Rainbow Sky, and our wonderfull Chemtalk family.
Sodium Bromide is a bit like Hydrochloric Acid. It will turn yellow under prolonged storage under artificail light.
Natural light will speed up this process but the NaBr is still useable.

The prac that I wanted it for was for the light reaction. so from what you are saying...thinking now its best NOT to use a soln thats yellow to begin with?
