Silver powder recovered from metal displacement reaction

Hi All
We have just done a metal displacement experiment with Yr 11 chemistry. I have recovered a whole lot of silver power and have dried it out. Is there an easy and safe way to heat the silver powder to create a solid silver bar or nugget?
Thanks in advance
Shell

Are you planning for your retirement?
Sorry about that - last day of term. You could try using a carbon block and a Bunsen blue flame. We had a piece of equipment (a type of tube - blowpipe) which enabled the user to make the flame to burn hotter to melt various metal powders, but we haven't done that type of experiment for years. You probably have the same piece of equipment buried in the "I wonder what this is for drawer?" somewhere in your prep room.
